Dali Opticon LCR MK2 On-Wall Speaker
Dali Opticon LCR MK2 On-Wall Speaker (each)
The Opticon LCR MK2 on-wall speaker incorporates all the best technologies from the Opticon MK2 series in a low-profile, wall mounted enclosure, that can serve as both left, centre or right speakers – hence the name LCR. The Opticon LCR MK2 will indeed also serve perfectly as wall mounted surround speaker. No matter the application, from conventional stereo to TV audio to multi-channel home theatre, the on-wall speaker is a multi-purpose speaker with loads of use case options.
With airy high frequencies, expressive midrange and surprisingly extended bass, the Opticon LCR MK2 is an on-wall speaker that delivers genuine hi-fi performance.
A hybrid tweeter for silky highs
The Opticon LCR MK2 employs a new hybrid tweeter design that marries a 29 mm soft dome tweeter with a custom 17 x 45 mm ribbon. The hybrid tweeter offers the best of both worlds – the clarity, speed and dynamics of a dome tweeter, with the very high frequency detail and smooth finesse of a ribbon tweeter.
Both tweeters are mounted on a reversible cast aluminium faceplate, which incorporates dispersion control detailing, while also offering the option of 360 degrees rotation for when used as centre channel.
Wood fibre SMC driver
The 6½” wood fibre driver in the Opticon LCR MK2 handles the low and midrange frequencies and is built around DALI’s patented SMC magnet motor system. Re-enforcing the low end, the Opticon LCR’s unique dual downward firing rear ports work with your wall to extend bass beyond what seems possible from such a slim cabinet.
Two strategically placed keyhole mounts on the back panel ensure easy mounting on the wall – whether it is in vertical or horizontal position. Dali have even made the front grille logo reversible so that the LCR MK2 always looks sharp regardless of its placement.
Premium construction
Dali has been making high-end speakers since 1983. The Opticon range is their most affordable made-in-Denmark line, and we think it offers great value for money. They’re assembled in pairs by a single Dali technician, to ensure visual and acoustic matching. High-density MDF cabinets, with internal bracing and acoustic damping material throughout, all but eliminate resonance whilst a choice of three high quality finishes helps to ensure seamless integration into your room.
