Secret Santa, Secret Santa, Julklapp – the more or less anonymous distribution of gifts in the run-up to Christmas has many names and is probably familiar to almost all geeks and nerds. The game is also very popular with us. But somehow the whole thing can be made a little nerdier, we thought…
The result is the Christmas Secret Santa game, aka Nerd Secret Santa ! This mini-game expands the classic game with a playing field and lots of questions that will challenge geeks and nerds. Without giving too much away: In this version, all players move across a lovingly designed playing field and have to answer questions about films, series, video games and general nerddom along the way. Oh yes, it is also decided who gets which of the gifts they brought. You can find the rules of the game here. Quiz questions, fun and gifts – is there a better combination? We think: no! 😀
To play, you need a smartphone with a QR code scanner (free apps are available for both Android and iOS in the respective stores), as this is the only way to access the questions. You should also have a six-sided die and game pieces (e.g. LEGO figures, bottle caps, etc.) – and of course everyone who plays has to bring a wrapped gift to give to people. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be a real Secret Santa, would it?
