Thor, the hammer-wielding god of thunder, is the most powerful and fearsome of the Scandinavian deities, alongside his father Odin. But even he would shy away from trying the Swedish Extreme Salt Liquorice!
To compete with the gods, you don’t have to be particularly strong, fast or clever. If you did, you’d only lose to Thor, who, after all, takes on monstrous sea serpents, giants and the cunning Loki. But if you eat liquorice that’s as salty as the sea itself and contains extra ammonia without pulling a face, you’ll earn a place in Asgard! (Not to be confused with Valhalla – you don’t want to end up there after eating liquorice!)
