As the TruePlay™ calibration tone is played, the microphone in your device takes an “acoustic profile” of your room by recording how loud various frequencies sound as you move around. TruePlay then applies a combination of equalizer and filtering techniques to correct these frequencies so your music sounds the way the artist intended it to.
