"Two chracters meet in a tavern, one was a Tank, and the other didn't do damage either."
Okay, this joke is not great (okay, actually it's pretty bad), but it hits the nail on his head, doesn't it? Because of all the members of a party in a role-playing game, the Tank does by far the least amount of damage. (Ok, well maybe the Healer is playing in a similar league, but both of them leave the killing of the enemies to the Damage Dealer.
While the DD is busy bringing down death and destruction on his adversaries, the Tank is just standing in the middle of the fight doing nothing. At least, that's how most other players see it anyway!
In reality, the Tank's area of expertise is much bigger: by using his abilities, he draws the enemy's attention away from his party and soaks up as much damage as he can, all while being protected by his massive armour and mighty buffs. Meanwhile, his mates can show the enemy what they're made of!
Anyone wearing this shirt can show how they too possess the same patience and resilience of the Tank. From time to time, you need these qualities in your everyday life, just like the silent heroes of adventuring need them on the battlefield. As long as the Healer and Damage Dealer do their jobs, nothing stands between you and a cold beer in a pub with another non-Damage-Dealer.
