In the 2006 game ” Okami”, Japanese mythology is used artistically to create epic images and an enchanting atmosphere. The player himself slips into the role of Amaterasu, the sun goddess in wolf form. But there are several other characters who can transform into wolves. The word “okami” can actually mean both “great god” and “wolf” in Japanese – which perfectly sums up the content of the game.
One of the most exciting characters, who also often appears in his wolf form, is Oki. In his first encounter with Amaterasu and Issun, he behaves very aggressively, although he actually has good intentions. He is determined to protect his village from the twin demons. To do so, he’s not afraid to steal from his own tribe as he decides to steal the sword Kutan for his mission.

Oki’s paws hover over a cloud of smoke, as if the demons have suddenly stopped time, and his aura, which even glows in the dark, surrounds his body in the form of blue flames.
