From time to time, one stumbles across the conspiracy theory that big corporations want to control people with the help of shady ingredients in processed foods. As believers in science, we obviously don’t believe such hogwash, but hmm… for the first time, we’ve actually started to question this point of view.
Why? Well, take a look at the “Obey Cthulhu” T-Shirt. At first glance, the slogan looks like the famous slogan of a manufacturer of cola. But on closer inspection, you’ll realize that the t-shirt doesn’t say “Enjoy **** Cola“, but rather “Obey Cthulhu“! Anyone familiar with the occult will know that Cthulhu is none other than the most famous Great Old One from the works of H.P. Lovecraft. And his sole desire is to annihilate humanity once and for all. Looks like he might ditch the ineffective cultists of yore and use highly sweetened soft drinks to slowly cull Earth’s population ;).
