Doormat You shall not pass
Those of you who have watched The Lord of the Rings (which is surely everybody, right?) will remember the epic scene in which Gandalf confronts the Balrog on a bridge and utters those immortal lines, “You Shall Not Pass!” Then he and the ol’ Balrog have a tete-a-tete, at the end of which it’s decided that Gandalf needs to get away for a while so he… er, ‘drops out’ to let Aragorn earn his wages for a change. Thankfully, Gandalf is sort of reborn later, equipped with new, cleaner and whiter robes and a new magic 2.0 wand
With the You shall not pass! Doormat , you can now feel a little like Gandalf too! Your mother-in-law, your stalking ex-girlfriend/boyfriend or those double glazing window sellers… don’t they all have a certain resemblance to the Balrog?!
So summon all your power, stomp on the floor and shout out loud: “You shall not pass!” Then shut the door. This will definitely have a lasting effect ;). There’s a good chance no one will ever knock at your door again or if they do, maybe they’ll drop something as they turn to flee, and you can add it to your collection :).
